HP5 Development

After doing film test on one of my favorite films this is how I process  my HP5+. I use JOBO film tanks and a CPE2 rotary processor with a lift. I write all this information down and keep it in my Palm IIIe to help keep track of my processing.

HP5 + 120 & 4x5

Microdol-X Dilutated 1:3  at 72 degrees using  CPE2 rotary processor 
no pre rinse

150 Microdol-x , 450 water = 600ml
use this amount for both 1500(2) tanks or 4x5 film use only 4 sheets per reel

1) 23 min. split 12 min / 11 min
*(two batches of developer first for 12min dump and second 11 min)

* note do to the dilution of developer to water, the developer will be exhausted before completion of film development i.e. the need for two batches of developer.

2) use water bath vice stop bath water rinse x2 30 seconds each


3) Fix for full 10 min


4) water rinse x2 30 seconds each

5) Hypo Clear 2min

6) Rinse full 10 min

7) USE DISTILLED WATER with Photo Flow

Hang in drying cabinet till dry.
