MIXING RA-4

FOR COLOR NEGATIVE PAPER PRINTING

RA-4 Developer consists of FOUR parts A, B, C and the starter concentrate

Part A water-clear and light yellow in color.

Part B is the trouble maker water-clear and a very pale, very light amber in color. If it has turned pink or dark black/purple …..DO NOT USE

When Part B is first mixed into the solution, the solution will quickly turn very magenta in color. Stir until uniform color.

Part C water-clear and colorless. When first added to the solution, it will cause a shift in color from magenta to purple. Continue mixing until the solution is a uniform light yellow/amber in color the mixing is complete.

Add the Starter concentrate at this time there should be no change in appearance.

RA-4 Bleach / Fix consists of TWO parts A, B

When mixed should be a rich reddish/brown and fairly " transparent – clear". Kodak’s will be a tad greenish-brown. If solutions or the concentrates are cloudy or if large clumps of crystals form it should be discarded
