2005 Vintage Camera Contest

 

Three Classes of cameras for the first EOH Vintage Contest.

The contest will start October 18 and all picture will be taken after this day and will run until the Christmas Dinner on December 18. At the Christmas Dinner a Judging of all entries will be made and winners will be awarded. 

1) All camera models must be manual cameras.

2) Any size film or format will be allowed and either color or B&W.

3) Printing can either be wet process or you can scan your negatives but no digital fakery - minimal Photo Shop editing.

4) Print size is up to the photographer. Prints can be mounted or framed.

5) One picture per camera plus a picture of your camera or display it with your entry. Lets make this more than a contest, lets show off our "Classic Cameras" at the same time this helps pass on information. As many entries as you want.

6) I'm allowing family members to join in this contest this might spark interest in photography (get your kid's out shooting).

Two planned shoots bring your cameras and allow others in the club to share your knowledge and maybe a camera or two.

1st shoot 0900 October 30th at Ho`omaluhia Botanical Garden meet at the visitor center or drive till you find us.

Strolling or driving through these lush four hundred acres in windward Oahu, you will truly agree that Hoomaluhia is rightfully named "a peaceful refuge." Opened in 1982, this garden in Kaneohe features plantings from major tropical regions around the world grouped geographically. Special emphasis is placed on conserving plants native to Hawaii.
