Having acquired a few of these cameras over the
last year or two. Some are in better shape than others and some I buy or end
up being parts cameras. This one was corroded on the out side but the inside
was like new. I decided to take the lens/shutter out and swap it to another
camera with a nice body but a stuck shutter. |

Nice body ......
....... Stuck Shutter |

After removing the lens I noticed the difference
in lens/shutter brace. The good lens had four notches and where the lens to
go only had two. |
|
If I mounted the lens as is it ended up off
center. |

Get the drill....
..... I put some paper towels under the work area to catch some of the metal
chips. |
|
Actually the Dremal with out getting into
measurements I just eye balled it and drilled the two holes. |

With the holes drilled I took a dental tool and
grinding stone and elongated the holes. |
|
Not bad for eye balling and the lens/shutter fit
perfectly into the new body. |

I did not get a before shot but the paint on the
Lens/Shutter brace got marred. |
|
Again simple supplies Flat Black molders paint.
I came across these disposable brushes but I clean them out and reuse them. |

Not enough for a whole page....
A very common problem is rust on the film spool
springs. |
|
I use the Dremal and assorted wire brushes to
remove the rust.....Do not paint just leave them bare. |
